Acupuncture is the most utilized service we offer. It draws the youth into the clinic where we can help them overcome problems such as emotional instability, chemical dependency, and other at-risk behavior that may endanger their health and well-being.
This program is a gateway for homeless and low income people with mental health and substance abuse issues to connect with a variety of other medical and social services. United For health's acupuncturists administer 900 to 1,000 acupuncture treatments per month, serving an average of 360 new clients each year.
We offer acupuncture treatment, individual counseling, support groups, and help making medical appointments. Nutrition is also a key component in our program to enable clients' recovery.
