United for Health was created in 1999 when a group of six Health Care professionals came together, which included a Social Worker, an Aupuncturist, a Family Crisis Counselor, a Nutritionist, a Psychologist, and a Physician Assistant - with one commom goal: to help bridge the gap in services to those who have the least access to care: at risk youth, the homeless, people with HIV or AIDS, and those with mental health or substance abuse issues.  

United For Health's mission is to provide health care that is totally accessible. We don't charge our clients fees for acupuncture, nutritional counseling, herbal medicine, and important resource/referral services so there are no barriers to treatment.

UFH is working closely with administrators, teachers, students, and health practitioners at the high school and college level to make the Youth Wellness Program a reality. Hundreds of students have signed on to be clients, counselors and advocates to keep the Youth Wellness Program ongoing.
